FASTING AGAINST FATALITIES

Please join Oak Street Church's "Fasting Against Fatalities" in Baltimore City. Over 300 homicides have been committed annually for over 5 years in a row. We are binding, rebuking, and casting out the "spirits of murder" in Baltimore and asking God to lower that number below 300 in 2023. Join us. Ask your Church to join us in fasting and prayer. Please fast one, two, or three meals each week and substitute prayers, Scripture reading, and meditation time in place of those meals. For God is "able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power (the Holy Spirit) that worketh in us." 

 

This "Fasting Against Fatalities" initiative will focus on gun violence but include all 300+ homicides per year in Baltimore City. There is a "spirit of murder" in the city (and other U.S. cities) which we, the Church of Jesus Christ, must attack with weapons of spiritual warfare.

  

So, we are asking you to join in by selecting a week or two in 2023 for you and your congregations to fast and pray along with us.  The prayer is for the homicide rate to drop below 300 in 2023.
